Thinkbaby Sippy Cup - 9oz. - Pink
How is the Thinkbaby Sippy cup different?
Most of the sippy cups on the market have hard plastic spouts or rubber spouts. Thinkbaby built their Sippy Cups with soft silicone spouts. This makes for easy transition from baby bottles to sippy cups. This is a struggle that most parents face in moving to the next stage of feeding. With the Thinkbaby Sippy Cup, the little one is already used to the feeling of silicone so making the transition is quite simple.
The spouts also feature a cross cut design so they do not spill when held upside down, which obviously happens quite often. There are also no extra little pieces to lose or clean.
The Sippy cup has won numerous awards for both the ability to transform Thinkbaby bottles into the Sippy Cup and for the ease of transition from baby bottle to Sippy Cup.
The Sippy Cups are made from No. 5 plastic and therefore can be recycled after use. You may also notice that we do not use clear plastic windows with our products. We have found that these windows are made from PET or PVC. It doesnt make sense to take a safe baby bottle and put it up against something that can off gas onto the product.

The baby bottles, sippys and thinksters are all produced with the same materials. The base of the bottle and all plastic components are made from polypropylene. Thinkbaby is the first company to have a 100% BPA free baby bottle line. The materials they use are also free of BPA, BPS, phthalates, PET, PS, PA, nitrosamines, melamine, dioxins and biologically harmful chemicals. They conduct regular testing to ensure the safety of our products. The nipple is made from medical grade silicone.
Thinkbaby Sippy cups are dishwasher safe (Top Rack recommended). Please take care not to wipe the measurement markings. Thinkbaby does not use lead in their paint, which is what predominately makes paint stick. The US and EU standards actually allow for low levels of lead. They specifically do not want lead in their products.
When washing the Sippy cups in the dishwasher, they recommend using a detergent that is free of chlorine. Most of the natural detergents on the market from Eco Lever to Seventh Generation should be free of toxic chemicals. If hand-washing, the American Pediatrics Association suggests using warm soapy water, but only if you live in an area with treated water systems.
Before first use:
They recommend sterilizing the Sippy cups in boiling water for 2 to 5 minutes before first use. They do not recommend utilizing sterilizers, as they cannot guarantee that the ones on the market were made with safe materials. While the baby bottles are technically microwave safe, they strongly suggest that parents do away with the use of microwaves for all items and products destined for your little one.
